TEA PARTY
A playful painting series about gathering, ritual and a little bit of imagination
Tea Party is a narrative painting series inspired by the quiet drama of a table set just so. Teacups, flowers, and patterned surfaces take center stage-arranged, rearranged, and slightly exaggerated - inviting the viewer into a world that’s familiar, playful and a touch theatrical.
While my core work is rooted in place and presence. Tea Party makes room for curiosity and delight. These paintings lean into color, pattern, and whimsy - where objects behave a little more boldly and the mood is lighter, looser and less concerned with staying in line.
Built through layered marks, collage, and intuitive color, each piece balances structure with spontaneity. Think tables set for conversation, moments paused mid-gathering, and settings that feel ready for guests who may or may not arrive.
